Author Bio
Emma Cole is an editor at MIRA and a horror film enthusiast. She studied Film and Communications at the University of Windsor before completing the Book & Magazine Publishing program at Centennial College, and has worked at several publishers in the editorial department.
She acquires romance and love stories, and she’s very interested in the intersection between romance and horror in film and literature.
She is a staff writer at Night Tide magazine, and has written about film and genre for Gamut Magazine, Film East, and Reactor. She also volunteers as the Notes and Queries editor for the Journal of Popular Romance Studies.

- I yell at the news when the captions have typos, always hoping that someone will hear me and correct them as I’m watching.
- Favourite words: meticulous, swift, dexterous.
- I prefer the art of cooking to the science of baking.
- I can deal with a little bit of clutter on my desk, as long as my pens are in the right place.
- I think 6 am is the perfect time of day: it’s calm and full of potential. And coffee.
